Calling all young drivers - Station Garage hosts Young Drivers Masterclass
On Thursday 24th March Station Garage in Horsham will be holding its first ever free Young Drivers Masterclass, which offers local young drivers a valuable opportunity to learn basic car maintenance.
During an educational and fun two hour session, from 6pm until 8pm, newly qualified drivers will be given the chance to learn about basic car upkeep from fully trained mechanics including how to change a tyre, interpret vital dashboard warning signs and check oil and water levels.
Although driving lessons may teach young drivers how to safely and confidently manoeuvre a car, they don’t necessarily offer any insight into how to maintain it. As well as being confident while on the road, drivers also need to ensure they are comfortable performing basic car maintenance, which is why Station Garage’s masterclass is essential to any new driver.
James Thorpe, Dealer Principal at Station Garage, commented:
“Building confidence amongst new drivers is really important to us so we’re thrilled to be launching these masterclasses. The evening will offer new drivers the opportunity to learn more about how to keep their cars safe on the road. Unfortunately, basic car maintenance isn’t something taught in driving lessons but the importance of any driver knowing their way around their car should not be underestimated. Even more than confidence, we want to offer peace of mind when new, young drivers head out on the road.”
