Certas Energy welcomes duty freeze
The decision to freeze fuel duty in today’s Budget has been welcomed by Ramsay MacDonald, Retail Director of Certas Energy.
“We had feared the worst so this is a sensible outcome for both motorists and businesses. It is also a refreshing respite for the UK’s independent petrol retailers, who work on margins of just a few pence per litre and yet seem to inevitably take the hit.”
Certas Energy supplies fuels to over 1,200 service stations, including 500 Gulf branded forecourts, and is one the largest fuel and lubricant distributors in Britain, supplying 6 billion litres of fuel to domestic, commercial, agricultural and industrial customers each year.
