The accolade was presented to the company at the 175th RAD awards, where it had been shortlisted in the award category of ‘Best Deaf Business’.
The recognition is one of a long list of awards the company has recently received and continues to grow from strength to strength. The company, which delivers a full range of equality, Deaf and disability related training courses to organisations across the UK, was one of three businesses competing for the title which was announced at the RAD 175 Birthday Honours gala awards ceremony last month. The event celebrates Deaf history, language and culture and said that all organisations shortlisted ‘demonstrated excellence, innovation and forward thinking’.
Julie Ryder, Director and Founder of HearFirst, said: “It was a real honour to be in the company of and shortlisted alongside some fantastic organisations who are all owned by successful deaf entrepreneurs and we are thoroughly delighted to receive this highly commendation award.
“This award not only recognises and acknowledges the range of training courses we provide for our clients but also the personal, inspiring and pioneering approach, which all our tutors have. This award is a credit to them and being recognised gives us the hope and determination to continue to deliver what we do best but also be innovative in our field.”
