New chef promises to cook up a storm at Liverpool Marriott Hotel

The four-star Liverpool Marriott Hotel has welcomed a new executive chef, building on the property’s enviable reputation for good cuisine.

Egyptian-born Gaber Ahmed has built an impressive CV during the last 22 years, since first being inspired to cook at the age of 13 by his mother. Having trained at Egoth International Hotels Institute, Gaber has spent more than two decades honing his craft in prestigious international hotels around the globe.

Gaber will be using his skill set to bring a new style of cuisine to the hotel’s restaurant, introducing seasonality to the menus and using more local produce.

Talking about his new role, Gaber said: “Liverpool Marriott Hotel is the perfect place for me to showcase my skills and use my industry knowledge to deliver the best possible banqueting and dining experience for our guests.

“When I first arrived in Liverpool, I saw the Marriott and made it my goal to become a chef there. I’m thrilled that my dream has now become a reality.

“I’m keen to use my extensive culinary skills to deliver first-hand support to the food and beverage team, helping to make Liverpool Marriott Hotel the first choice in the area for quality cuisine.”

Ludwig Duweke, General Manager at Liverpool Marriott Hotel, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Gaber to the hotel, he has undoubtedly made a valuable addition to the team, bringing with him a wealth of experience that will prove extremely important in driving our food and beverage offering.”
