Rangecookers.co.uk prepares to Three Peaks

The countdown has begun for a team from Chester–based Rangecookers.co.uk – the UK’s leading online range cooker specialist –before a gruelling ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ this spring to raise support and awareness for three local charities.

As part of their intensive training programme, three of the team, which comprises Marketing Manager, Carl Elston, and Finance Director, Fin O’Leary, as well as Kate Cox and Nikki Girvan from the brand’s PR and social media team at de Winter PR, braved the cold (Saturday 27th February) to tackle Scafell Pike.

The group will swap their showroom and office footwear for walking boots for the real challenge on Saturday 11th June when they attempt to take on Britain’s highest peaks in just 24 hours – Ben Nevis in Scotland, Snowdon in Wales and Scafell Pike in England.

Each peak will be dedicated to a different charity with Snowdon for The North West Air Ambulance Service, Ben Nevis for Claire House Hospice and Scafell Pike for The West Cheshire Food Bank.

Carl Elston, Marketing Manager, commented: “We’ve set ourselves a real challenge attempting to climb more than 10,000 feet and walk over 26 miles in just one day, but our preparations are underway and the team is already training hard. I’m confident that with a copious supply of Jaffa Cakes and a vague idea where we’re heading, we’ll be fine.

“Seriously though, we are incredibly proud to be supporting not one but three fantastic charities who need our support to continue their great work – The North West Air Ambulance Service and The West Cheshire Food Bank both provide a vital service to the local community and Claire House Hospice provides all year round support to hundreds of families whose children won’t live to be adults.”
