Today’s FedEx top tip: Invoice more efficiently
Invoicing your clients or suppliers in the correct way can save you time and money, as any small lapses and minor mistakes included in them can disrupt cash flow.
Establish a robust payment schedule by setting clear deadlines and keeping on top of when your invoice is sent and when it’s paid. As the deadline nears, it could be worth sending a reminder to ensure your business is paid on time. To help ease the process, adopt a simple design and check the smaller details such as name and address. Be sure to request proof of delivery for invoices sent either by post or via email.
Don’t forget to make it easy for clients to pay you. If dealing with international businesses it may be worth looking at alternative payment means, such as using a foreign exchange service – they usually offer a better rate than a bank.
