Planning permission granted for new £1.1m Vauxhall Bradford dealership
Car retailer JCT600 has secured planning consent for a new showroom on Sticker Lane, Bradford.
Existing buildings on the site, which is currently home to a JCT600 Vauxhall dealership built almost 30 years ago, will be demolished in time for construction work to start in April on the new 1,000 sq ft car showroom.
Once complete, the £1.1m centre will include a café and bar, toilets, baby changing facilities and a vehicle handover area, in addition to a kids’ zone with an iPad and gaming station.
JCT600’s group property director, Mark Taylor, said: “Vauxhall is one of our longest standing franchises and, indeed, our Vauxhall site on Sticker Lane is almost 30 years old. We felt that rather than simply refurbishing the existing building, it was time for a total upgrade.
“In recent years, all of the leading motor retailers have focussed on designing their showrooms to make customer visits as enjoyable as possible.”
He added: “We are excited to be working with Vauxhall on this brand new building and look forward to sharing the improved facilities and stylish, comfortable surroundings with our customers.”
During the redevelopment work, the Vauxhall Bradford dealership will operate from a temporary building located in the car park.
The work is due for completion towards the end of 2016.
