Knight Frank’s industrial property team retain top spot

Knight Frank’s Sheffield and Leeds’ based industrial team has retained its top spot in a national award for being the most active in the commercial property sector in Yorkshire in 2015.

The team completed more deals than anyone else across the whole of Yorkshire to beat rivals Carter Towler, PPH Commercial, Cushman & Wakefield including DTZ and Walker Singleton into first place for the second year running in the national EGi Deals competition.

It confirmed Knight Frank’s commanding presence in the region, particularly in South Yorkshire, for industrial property.

Key deals for the team, headed up by Knight Frank partner Rebecca Schofield, included the letting of 330,000 sq ft at Arrow Worksop, the acquisition of 140,000 sq ft at Balby Carr Bank, Doncaster, pre-let to John Lewis at Logic Leeds and disposal of the former Carcraft facility at Tingley to Available Car.

South Yorkshire continues to be the prime location for industrial and warehouse occupiers with deals completing across Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Worksop.

Rebecca Schofield said: “With offices in Sheffield and Leeds, Knight Frank offers genuine Yorkshire coverage. This award is a real coup for the Yorkshire team, and to win it for the second year running. It is testament to the team’s hard work and coverage of the region through its presence in both Sheffield and Leeds. We pride ourselves in knowing our market, and its various sectors, inside out. This means we can respond quickly and knowledgeably to enquiries and opportunities.”

The Leeds office covers all West Yorkshire locations from Huddersfield, Brighouse and Castleford to East Riding and North Lincolnshire locations like Hull and Grimsby plus North Yorkshire and Teeside locations along the A1(M) corridor.“

Tom Lamb from the Leeds office added: “The collaboration between Sheffield and Leeds has resulted in outstanding client service. This combination delivers a more concentrated depth of knowledge across the region and working together maximises our exposure in the market place. It’s a compelling sell to our client base as they effectively get two offices for the price of one.”
