Recruitment business Spectrum announces Lowry Mill move

Recruitment and training firm Spectrum has signed a deal for space at Lowry Mill in Swinton, Greater Manchester.

The company has taken 5,000 sq ft on a five-year lease at the building, which counts clothing maker Leisurewear International, IT consultancy Italik and office giant Regus among its tenants.

Manchester-based office agency Canning O’Neill secured the deal with Spectrum on behalf of the development’s owner, Vanguard Holdings.

Lowry Mill, a former Victorian mill, was transformed into a 80,000 sq ft office building in 2012 and today offers suites of 1,000 sq ft and above.

Spectrum’s director, Neil Farrow, said of the decision to relocate: “Lowry Mill really offers everything you would want from an office, from on site amenities to flexible floor space to help us support our continued growth.”

Canning O’Neill is a joint agent on the scheme along with Knight Frank.

John Nash, an associate director at Canning O’Neill, commented: “Spectrum is the latest a long line of successful businesses that have chosen to make Lowry Mill their home.

“The scheme really sells itself and that, coupled with the landlord’s ‘can-do’ attitude, has meant that deals are being done.”

The property manager at Lowry Mill, Mike Lamplough, said a demand for space is driving changes at the development.

He explained: “We have added an additional deck to the car park to maintain our excellent car parking ratio of 1:300 sq ft. and we have other enhancements in the pipeline.”
