Chris-Craft arrives in the Balearics

The timeless beauty and exhilarating experience of Chris-Craft is coming to the Balearics after a new distributor agreement was awarded.

Chris-Craft Balearics has been appointed to operate alongside Princess Motor Yacht Sales, who have provided yacht sales and service in the region for more than 20 years.

It is a deal that is aimed at unlocking the potential of the brand in one of Europe’s most exciting yachting destinations.

The new division, covering the islands of Formentera, Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, will offer a full range of new and pre-owned sports-cruisers, day boats, launches and bow riders from 22ft to 36ft.

More than £100,000 has already been invested in setting up a sales and service centre for Chris-Craft in the popular Puerto Portals marina in Mallorca and on creating a dedicated new website.

New models will also be available for demonstration and sale from two further sales points at Port Adriano and Cala D’Or.

“We have been working with Princess in the Balearics for many years and we have come to understand the market extremely well,” explained Max Whale, CEO of Chris-Craft Balearics.

“We already know many of the yachting enthusiasts in the area from 39ft and upwards, but offering the Chris-Craft range will let us engage with many more people living and working on the islands – those who want to enjoy the thrill and majesty of beautiful blue waters, but with a smaller craft.”

He continued: “The attention to detail is simply exceptional and we felt that the range sits well alongside Princess. There is scope to personalise each boat, and, with the timeless design and craftsmanship, we are certain there will be a lot of interest.

“There are many synergies between the two brands, not least over 190 years of boat building heritage…we are looking forward to the challenge!”

Chris-Craft Balearics has appointed Matthaeus Grasl as its dedicated Sales Manager for its 18-strong range.

He has worked in the industry since 1993, spending 10 years with one of Austria’s biggest boat builders in the international sales and distribution of day cruisers and weekenders.

His advice and knowledge will be invaluable in establishing the Puerto Portals operation and in reaching the company’s aim of attracting new owners to the brand.

Supporting retail operations, Chris-Craft Balearics will also offer industry-leading aftercare, with more than 20 staff on the island of Mallorca dedicated to sales and service and further dealer partners in Ibiza, Menorca and Port Andraitx.
