PH Media Group sets new £30,000 fundraising target
PHMG Foundation, the charity arm of Manchester firm PH Media Group, is aiming to ramp up its fundraising efforts in 2016 after setting staff a £30,000 target.
If the target is reached, the company will match it with an equivalent donation, giving a potential total of £60,000.
The company has raised over £100,000 for good causes since establishing its own charity, the PHMG Foundation, in 2013, with more than £50,000 being donated in 2015 alone.
Employees from across the business will be taking part in a number of events to raise money for 19 charitable organisations in 2016, each having been chosen by the company’s individual departments.
“Each year, the commitment of our staff never ceases to amaze us and a degree of healthy competition ensures they push each other to keep raising the bar,” said Chris Berisford, Finance Director at PH Media Group and PHMG Foundation Trustee.
“As a result of the success we achieved in 2015, donating £50,000 to good causes, we have decided to go one step further this year and we’re confident our employees will be up to the challenge.”
The money the charities who will benefit from the PHMG Foundation’s fundraising efforts include The Christie, Children with Cancer UK, Dementia UK, MNDA, Alzheimer’s Society, JDRF, St Clare Hospice, Macmillan, St Leonard’s Hospice, Cystic Fibrosis, Myeloma UK, Derian House Children’s Hospice, Cyril Flint, Once Upon a Smile, Mind and Wood Street Mission.
Previous events have included a santa dash, a skydive, an abseil down the Trafford Centre Bell Tower and a reverse bungee jump.
