New Hoylandswaine development demonstrates growing affluence of area

Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, officially opened its new St John’s Walk development in Hoylandswaine, South Yorkshire this weekend, in a ceremony headed by the Mayor of Barnsley, who officially cut the ribbon at the new site.

The opening saw crowds of prospective buyers from the local community visit the new site over the weekend, while local children from Hoylandswaine Primary School were also present for the official ribbon cutting, due to their involvement in the naming of the development and creating a bespoke piece of artwork for the site. The artwork, which will feature on a bench within the community, is made up of designs created by pupils in year five at the school.

The Hoylandswaine development, which is located in the beautiful South Yorkshire countryside, boasts a selection of luxurious four and five bedroom homes, offering picturesque country views, along with nearby amenities in the form of two local pubs, along with strong transport links.

The five-bedroom Emerson showhome is now available to view at the site, offering plenty of family space along with an open plan kitchen and breakfast room, a dual aspect lounge that opens onto the rear garden via French doors, and a separate downstairs dining room. Also available to view at the site, the four-bed Shelbourne property provides buyers with a light and airy kitchen with breakfast bar, French doors to the garden and a separate utility room, along with four double bedrooms and master bed with en suite and dressing area.

Debbie Land, Sales Adviser at St John’s Walk, commented: “We’re very proud to launch very proud to launch this stunning new development in this picturesque village of Hoylandswaine and it was great to have The Mayor, Brian Mathers officially open it. St John’s Walk offers a variety of beautiful homes to suit different lifestyles and the opportunity to be part of a thriving, modern community.

“The official ribbon cutting and opening this weekend was a great success and the launch managed to draw in some big crowds. It was great to also great to have the local children in attendance from Hoylandswaine Primary School, as they’ve had a big involvement with our development, having named the site, while also completing artwork that will be displayed in our new community. We’ve already had some great interest from prospective home owners, which shows the strength of the housing market in the area.”
