Phase two of £200m residential development at Salford Quays sold out
The second phase of X1 Media City, the £200m four-tower development at Salford Quays, has sold out.
According to property investment firm Knight Knox, all of the homes in phase two of the residential scheme from developer X1 have been snapped up
Once complete, the Michigan Avenue-based development will comprise 1,100 apartments set over 26 storeys, in addition to 22,700 sq ft of space for businesses and amenities such as a residents’ gym, a cinema and an underground parking facility.
The site is being built by Liverpool-headquartered construction firm Vermont and will be let and block managed by X1 Lettings.
Tower 1, which is due for completion in Q3 2017, was announced as sold out in December last year. Tower 2 is due to open in Q2 2018.
Knight Knox’s sales director, Michael Fenlon, said: “2016 is set to be a very exciting year for Salford, due to significant investment into the city’s regeneration.
“Whether it’s to live, for work, or socially, the Quays is an exciting place to be and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with such a high-quality residential offer.”
He added: “The development will provide buyers with valuable investment opportunities and we’re really looking forward to launching the next phase.”
Melissa Green, the operational and regional manager at X1, said the firm has built an “extremely strong relationship” with Knight Knox over the years.
She continued: “We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that the design, finish and vision for X1 Media City complement and improve the developing region, whilst providing the area with some high-quality properties and second-to-none amenities.
“Our vision for X1 Media City is that it’ll be an iconic development that is the jewel in the crown of Salford Quays.”
