Redsun shores up Helix Business Park development with Ellesmere Port acquisition
Commercial property developer Redsun Developments has acquired up a 6.3-acre site in Cheshire that will form part of its 50,000 sq ft Helix Business Park project.
The cleared land, located on Newbridge Road in Ellesmere Port near the Cheshire Oaks retail complex, lies within the recently designated Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone.
Liverpool-based Redsun bought the site from Cheshire West & Chester Council, which has previously carried out public realm investment on Newbridge Road.
The firm’s MD, Craig Booton, said: “We’ve been busy completing land deals in the early part of 2016 which will help fulfil our development pipeline for the next 12 months.”
Work on Helix Business Park, Craig confirmed, is expected to begin in the next few months, with completion due in early 2017.
He continued: “The Enterprise Zone status is sure to add to the attraction of this well-located development to occupiers looking for high quality premises close to the motorway network.”
Legat Owen has been appointed as an agent on the the development.
The acquisition follows another deal announced in February that saw Redsun acquire a former power station site in Bromborough, on the Wirral.
Redsun is also behind the innovate:speke commercial development in South Liverpool.
