Ascend Appoint Ex Curtis and Bains Director

Award-winning estate and letting agent Ascend Properties has appointed Ged McPartlin as Sales Director to spearhead the growth of this young Manchester agency.

McPartlin previously spent 10 years as the driving force behind Curtis and Bains where he gained a wealth of property experience and managed a team of 16 to help achieve an annual turnover of £1.5 million. Back in 2014, McPartlin sold the business to Countrywide and remained as their lettings director before leaving to pursue a number of development projects in Manchester as well as focusing on international property transactions.

Fast forward two years and McPartlin is now back at home on Deansgate, Manchester city centre. The award-winning young agents have celebrated an incredibly successful 18 months of trading and have appointed McPartlin to push ahead with their £1 million turnover target by the end of 2016, along with their ambitious growth plans for the future.

The team at Ascend Properties have already experienced a number of milestones over the past year. Their expansion led to them opening a new flagship branch on Deansgate and also hitting over 1,000 managed rental properties within their first 12 months of trading. As a reward, the team have won a total of 11 awards across both sales and letting divisions and have set their sights on more during 2016.

McPartlin concludes “I’m delighted to be a part of the Ascend team. I’ve watched them grow as a company over the past 18 months and I think they’ve achieved some incredible success. They have taken on some really exciting projects which is quite overwhelming considering they’re such a young business. If they can do all that in such a short space of time, I’m excited to see what the future holds.“
