Expanding firm is ‘motoring to success’, says MP
One of Chesterfield’s fastest growing companies has caught the eye of the local MP.
Evolution Funding Limited showed the Chesterfield MP the technology and skills that had seen them recognised as one of the ten best performing SMEs in Chesterfield by the Derbyshire Times in their recent listing of top local firms.
The award follows national recognition by the Stock Exchange as one of the Nation’s firms to ‘make Britain proud’.
Launched in 2002, Evolution Funding has become one of the largest point-of-sale motor finance intermediaries in the UK, processing £330 million worth of car loans annually. The firm employs 200 people and hopes to take on more staff to meet demand.
Director Jeremy Levine said: “It was great to meet with someone who clearly has a real passion and desire to help local businesses to grow and thrive. We are lucky to have a vibrant, young workforce in the Chesterfield area and it is essential that these people are given the best possible opportunities. It is extremely encouraging that we have people like Mr Perkins supporting us in that goal.”
Mr Perkins commended Evolution Funding on their success. He said: “Firms like Evolution create the jobs and growth that are vital to Chesterfield’s economy.
“It is great news that Evolution are looking to employ more people here and that some of the current workforce have been promoted from apprenticeships and junior positions to managerial roles. Chesterfield is a great place to do business and I’m pleased to hear that Chesterfield Borough Council has been helpful in helping the company expand.
“The raft of awards the Evolution has won from its peers in the finance and insurance sectors, as well as their large body of long-standing customers, shows that this business is getting things right.”
Mr Perkins added: “I wish all the team at Evolution good luck for the future.”
