eurochange relocates in Leeds’ Merrion Centre following ten-year lease extension
eurochange, the foreign exchange expert, has relocated to a new larger unit in Leeds city centre’s Merrion Centre and extended its lease until 2026.
Previously situated opposite The Works, the business has relocated next to the Bonmarché store, increasing its branch size from 100 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft.
Situated on the Main Mall of Merrion Centre, the new glass-fronted branch comprises three customer services desks.
Merrion Centre is currently part way through a £50m phased investment and refurbishment strategy which has already seen the car park refurbished and Merrion Way units redeveloped.
Over the last 18 months a number of tenants have extended leases and taken extra space, including the recently refurbished and extended Morrisons.
Giles Custerson, managing director of eurochange, said: “Our Merrion Centre branch has been very successful with its convenient location, mixed demographic of visitors including students, families and professionals, combined with its high footfall. We wanted to build on this success and our new branch with its clean, light, and modern feel will allow us to do that.
“Customer service and convenience are key elements and having three cash desks will allow us to reduce waiting time during busy periods.”
Helen Green, associate director for Town Centre Securities PLC, owners of the Merrion Centre, added: “Merrion Centre had a record breaking December footfall and this has continued into 2016.
“We look forward to a successful 2016 with further improvements and investment during the year. We acknowledge that our existing tenant’s needs and space requirements change over time, and we are always keen to work with our tenants in order to accommodate them.”
