The Denton-headquartered company saw its profits rise year on year by 18% during the 12 months to September 2015, while its turnover rose by £1m to reach £6.8m.

AV Group, which rents accommodation units to construction sector businesses, has also ploughed £1m into upgrading its fleet of steel anti-vandal units, which today number more than 4,000.

Helen Scott, the company’s director, said: “The upturn in the construction industry has certainly had a big impact on our business and are we have long term relationships with many clients, securing repeat orders as they move onto new development projects.

“Over the years we have developed market-leading products for the construction industry such as OpenSpace which have transformed the standard of on-site construction accommodation in the UK.”

She continued: “We have depots in the Midlands and Essex as well as our headquarters in Denton so we can quickly provide units with very fast turnaround times.

“Being able to control the production of new, additional units is also a real benefit as we can meet really short delivery timescales and turn around orders in a matter of days.”

AV Group’s steel anti-vandal units are currently used by a number of the UK’s construction businesses, including Graham Construction and Eric Wright Group.

Additionally, building firm BAM has used the units at developer Allied London’s No.1 Spinningfields scheme in Manchester.
