Wirral entrepreneurs to invest £150k in Whitfield Business Support expansion
Whitfield Business Support, an SME incubator based on the Wirral, is using a £150k cash injection to launch a new office and hire additional members of staff.
The firm is targeting growth by adding two new recruits to its seven-strong team and establishing a new base on Pensby Road, next to its current premises in Heswall.
Since it was founded in April last year, Whitfield Business Support has gone on to secure 60 clients.
Co-director Justine McLaughlin said: “Whitfield Business Support is geared toward speeding up the growth of startup and early stage companies, as well as successful SMEs.
“Our ‘full life-cycle’ business support package covers a broad canvas including initial start-up, accounting and funding to IT, recruitment, consultancy, mentoring, marketing, web and graphic design, and branding support.”
She continued: “Due to the success and interest in the hub we are now expanding into new facilities with three separate offices which opened this month.
“The two new appointments of a digital marketing consultant and a graphic designer will further strengthen our skill and expertise.”
Speaking further Justine, who runs the business alongside co-director Nik Ellis, said the firm has identified a “major opportunity for future growth” through its hot-desk and business support packages.
Whitfield Business Support, Justine confirmed, will be “investing heavily” in its brand over the next two years.
