TJ Hughes to launch 31,000 sq ft St Helens store
Discount department store TJ Hughes has announced plans to open a new site in St Helens.
Refurbishment work on the 31,470 sq ft unit at The Hardshaw Centre is already underway.
Andrew Barrett, an asset manager with London & Cambridge Properties (LCP), which owns and manages the shopping complex, said attracting the national retailer was a “real coup”.
He commented: “We are extremely pleased that TJ Hughes chose to open in The Hardshaw Centre – it’s another big name for us and it will provide shoppers in St Helens with a new, quality retailer.”
Liverpool-headquartered TJ Hughes signed up for the unit, located next to the Bon Marche store, on a 10-year lease.
The shop is due to open in mid June.
