The summit is an educational forum designed to bring together high-level industry thought leaders from all sides of the digital media landscape to discuss solving the industry’s greatest challenges including navigating Europe’s new data protection regulation, making money with brand safe inventory, and fighting ad fraud.
The unique event will feature audience participation and panel discussions between digital media veterans from both the buy and sell side.
David Moore, President of WPP Digital and Chairman at Xaxis, will deliver a marquee keynote address to the audience, discussing how WPP and Xaxis will consider making investments in digital advertising and offering views on how digital advertising has evolved since the last Brand Safety Summit in May 2015, when he was joined onstage by Sir Martin Sorrell for the Fireside Chat on Brand Safety.
The highlight of the Summit’s programme will be a panel focussed on Europe’s new data protection regulation, featuring Iain Bourne, Group Manager (Policy Delivery), Information Commissioner’s Office, Nick Stringer, Chair of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance, Google’s David Skelton, Public Policy and Government Relations Manager, and Eduardo Ustran, Partner at Hogan Lovells.
The agenda will also include an Ad Blocking Town Hall, featuring panelists Marie Svet, Global Chief Revenue Officer at AccuWeather and Marco Bertozzi, CEO, Global Performance Marketing at Starcom Mediavest Group. The panelists will discuss their individual points of view on ad blocking and share how they feel the rise in ad blocking adoption will shape our industry going forward. The Making Money with Brand Safe Inventory panel, moderated by Gareth Shaw of PulsePoint, will offer a discussion with media buyers about what they are looking for and what publishers need to do to earn their trust and dollars.
This year’s Viewability panel, which will be moderated by Aniq Rahman, President at Moat, will feature perspectives on the issue from Anne Goodman, BBC Advertising’s VP of Global Sales Marketing & Enablement, and Alex Norman, IPG Mediabrands’ Head of Ad Operations UK & International.
“We are thrilled to be headed back to London. Our successful event series continues to grow, and with London being a critical marketplace for both digital and innovation, it’s our pleasure to bring insights to this area of the market,” said Rob Rasko, CEO, The 614 Group. “Our goal is to educate participants on the most current topics in digital advertising, and we are looking forward to presenting this stellar lineup for the May event.”
The full-day programme will take place at The Soho Hotel on Monday, May 9th 2016, beginning with a networking breakfast at 9:00am. The event will feature a full day of content and will conclude with an exclusive networking cocktail hour at the hotel’s Crimson Bar.
