Wylam Brewery’s Newcastle Palace of Arts transformation edges closer with new partnership
Wylam Brewery is moving forward with its plans for the Palace of Arts in Exhibition Park, Newcastle, ahead of its launch next month.
The brewers have selected TicketWeb, a subsidiary of Ticketmaster UK, to be their exclusive ticketing partner following a tender process.
Wylam Brewery has exciting plans in store for the venue, transforming it into a brewery and bar as well as an events space for live music performances.
For TicketWeb, uniting with an independent venue such as Wylam Brewery presents the opportunity to promote music in the North East, as it strives to play a part in the development of music talent.
Dave Stone, from Wylam Brewery, said: “The TicketWeb platform is second to none, and coupled with the excellent personal service TicketWeb provides to gig goers and venue owners alike we are extremely pleased to partner with them for our ticketing solutions.
“The Palace of Arts is a Grade II listed building of huge historical importance to the region, and the 800 capacity Grand Hall is a truly magnificent room. We look forward to welcoming talent from around the globe to this unique setting as well as supporting the North East’s thriving local music scene.
“As well as promoting our own shows and events we will act as a receiving house for National and Local Promoters offering a full plug in and play in-house service.”
Sam Isles, Managing Director of TicketWeb, said: “This partnership with Wylam Brewery is yet another example of TicketWeb working in conjunction with fantastic independent venues to promote great local talent.
“We are delighted to join forces with Wylam Brewery at this evolving stage in their journey, and look forward to the international and homegrown acts that will play at this stunning location.”
The Palace of Arts will open in late May. The first ticketed show to be announced at the venue is Michael Kiwanuka who will be performing as part of his October UK Tour. Tickets are on general sale from 9am on Friday 9th April.
