Hat trick of contracts for UTL

UTL, the Nuneaton-based technology logistics business, has been awarded three new contract extensions from its leading customers.

UTL provides logistics, repair, returns, distribution and field services to a number of technology and retail customers, including Vodafone, Three, Sky, Virgin, Waterstones, Sainsbury’s and Kimberly-Clark.

Vodafone, after 16 years of partnership, have again renewed their relationship with UTL for a further three years. UTL will provide forward logistics and distribution services exclusively in the UK, distributing to retail stores, online, enterprise, and consumer customers. Vodafone awarded this work as they were impressed with UTL’s continuing customer focus and innovation to deliver new market leading services.

Three, whose logistics services UTL have delivered since their launch in 2003, have renewed their contract for forward logistics, kitting, and distribution services until 2019. On behalf of Three, UTL will be distributing all products to retail stores, online, and customers at home.

Sky, who have operated in partnership with UTL since 2004, have also renewed their contract for a further three years. UTL will provide forward logistics, distribution, returns, and recycling services, along with fleet and field management for their network of engineers.

“UTL is a strong business with a clear strategy to deliver growth and enter new market sectors. We are investing in launching new services that drive real value for the end consumer,” said Claire Walters, Managing Director at UTL.

“The market continues to change rapidly. Innovative digital solutions are providing increased opportunities for UTL to develop and expand. For instance, although in 12 months’ time UTL will no longer carry out repair work for Vodafone, all our people currently working in this area will have opportunities to transfer to other parts of our business which continue to grow.”
