Pilsworth manufacturer Holchem to expand following record year
Chemicals manufacturer Holchem has announced plans to expand after experiencing a record year of production.
Holchem, based in Pilsworth, Greater Manchester, surpassed its previous production records on several occasions in 2015, passing the 900-tonne mark for the first time one week in October and manufacturing 950 tonnes during a week in December.
Looking ahead, managing director Simon Bell said Holchem is expecting 2016 to be its “best year” to date.
Following the growth in 2015, the company now plans to expand its Pilsworth facility with increased parking to meet an increased customer demand.
Simon continued: “The expansion of our site on Pilsworth is testament to the hard work of each member of the team in ensuring that we deliver the best results to all our customers.
“The fact that we beat three production records in 2015 clearly demonstrates the company’s strong growth, and this will continue into 2016.”
He added: “I’m looking forward to seeing our dedicated staff deliver even more record breaking moments.”
Holchem, which produces cleaning chemicals for use in the food service and processing, dairy, engineering, retail and hospitality sectors, currently employs a team of 188 at its facility near Bury.
