Redhill businessman runs for the bus!
A local businessman is taking part in his first marathon for 13 years to raise funds for Redhill charity, Us in a Bus.
Jonathan Dean, the owner of domestic cleaning company Merry Maids of South Surrey, is running in the Brighton Marathon on behalf of the charity after dusting off his running shoes, which he shelved back in 2003.
Jonathan said: “I’ve run two marathons before but work commitments took over and I had to retire my trainers. However, I’m back and excited to run and hoping to raise over £2,000 for this fantastic charity.
“I’m all about local engagement; I employ local people and we clean local customers’ homes on a daily basis so choosing local charity Us in a Bus was an easy decision. They do fantastic work helping transform the lives of people with profound learning disabilities and I’m pleased to be running for them.”
The Brighton Marathon takes place on Sunday 17th April with over 18,000 runners taking part.
