Expanding supermarket chain to open St Helens store
Polish supermarket chain Delicje is expanding with the launch of a third store in Merseyside.
The new shop, which will open in a 4,047 sq ft unit on Parr Street in St Helens, joins two existing sites on Bagot Street and Broad Lane, Liverpool.
The former car warehouse property comprises 8,749 sq ft across two units, with Delicje set to occupy Unit 1.
Liverpool property agency Hitchcock Wright & Partners secured the deal for Delicje.
Sean Collins-Jones, a graduate surveyor with Hitchcock Wright & Partners, said: “It’s great to see a local business expand and this site in StHelens was an ideal location for Delicje.
“The introduction of this new store will improve and complement the local retail offer, help reduce travel distances for shoppers, whilst the benefit of the car park makes it readily accessible to the community.”
He added: “The site’s central location makes it an attractive proposition for retailers, benefitting from Parr Street’s busy route towards the town centre and nearby traders including Topps Tiles and St Helens Retail Park.”
