Newcastle’s Winn Group lands multi-million pound funding to pursue acquisition opportunities
NatWest has granted Newcastle solicitors Winn Group an eight-figure refinancing arrangement to help the firm carry out its business growth strategy.
The business, which specialises in non-fault road accident and employers’ liability claims for clients, was founded in 2002 by Jeff Winn and now employs 263 members of staff across the group.
Winns, which recently moved its banking facilities to NatWest, is actively seeking new acquisition opportunities to support its business growth ambitions.
Iain Richardson, Finance Director, said: “New case volumes have grown significantly over the last few years as we expanded our overall offering to clients and increased our workforce.
“Over the next few months we hope to develop our services and target new markets as we roll-out our acquisition strategy. We chose to move to NatWest as we have been impressed with the bank’s commitment to supporting businesses like ours in our growth opportunities.”
John Dryden, Relationship Director at NatWest, said: “We are delighted to support Winn Group with this financing package which supports the firm’s growth aspirations.
“We have been very impressed with the management of the business and their successful track record. It’s an exciting time for Winns and we look forward to supporting them for many years to come.”
