Record breaking adventurer set to inspire at joint IoD and ACCA event

A record-breaking adventurer will share his inspirational story with North Wales business figures at a business dinner event in Llandudno.

Adventurer, author and motivational speaker Dave Cornthwaite will discuss how his ‘say yes more’ ethos can be applied to business at the joint Institute of Directors (IoD) and Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (ACCA) event.

Since quitting his job as a graphic designer, Dave has completed 11 non-motorised journeys each over 1,000 miles, including skate boarding across Australia and swimming the lower Missouri river.

A holder of nine world records and author of three books, he will now be visiting Llandudno to share his tips on how businesses can reach their full potential.

Chair of IoD North Wales Helen Watson said: “We’re very much looking forward to hearing about Dave’s incredible adventures and how his positive outlook on life can be applied to business.

“Holding the event in partnership with ACCA and with sponsorship from CMI Cymru, we’re anticipating a good turnout of people from many business sectors.”

The networking event, which is sponsored by CMI Cymru (Chartered Management Institute Wales), takes place on Tuesday 17 May at Venue Cymru from 6.30pm to 9pm. Tickets cost £10 and include a three-course ‘bowl food’ supper and a drinks reception.
