New Cask Ale Celebrating The Tour de Yorkshire

Award winning pub group Ainsty Inns has launched a special edition cask ale, ‘Tandem Triumph,’ to celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire passing two of its popular four pubs this April. A keen supporter of local producers, Ainsty Inns has formed a partnership with Ainsty Ales Brewery, to produce a one off ale to be served at two of Ainsty Inns’ four sites, The Swan & Talbot, Wetherby and The Beehive, Thorner.

The ale, ‘Tandem Triumph’ is described as; A light Blonde Ale with a Grapefruit and Tropical nose, giving a refreshing and slightly Hoppy, dry finish.’ Tandem Triumph will be sold for £3.30 a pint at each site, launching on Friday 29th April at The Swan & Talbot and available on Saturday 30th April at The Beehive Thorner. Customers will also be able to enjoy a barbecue in the beer gardens of each of the pubs, during the exciting event’s race day. It will mark a great way to join in and celebrate the occasion.

Owner of Ainsty Inns, Antony Pratt said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have the Tour de Yorkshire pass two of our pubs on consecutive days. To mark the event, we felt we should go the extra mile to do something special and partnering Ainsty Ales, to produce a one off ale, was the obvious answer.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming customers on Friday at The Swan & Talbot and Saturday at The Beehive to taste ‘Tandem Triumph,’ along with food from our Race Day barbecue. It’s fantastic to be able to work with local producers, such as Ainsty Ales, who are flying the flag for Yorkshire produce.”

Ainsty Ales, founded in September 2013, by ‘local-lad’ Andy Herrington, has gone from strength to strength and is currently looking to expand into new premises to increase production. Andy is passionately committed to his ethos, ‘To produce great tasting beers as ecologically as possible and to work with great local businesses.’

The Tour de Yorkshire will be passing The Swan & Talbot in Wetherby on Friday 29th April and The Beehive in Thorner on April 30th.
