Italian recruitment startup Meritocracy makes London move
Talent acquisition startup Meritocracy has announced it is to launch in the UK, with a new base in London.
The Italian tech firm, which has already attracted the likes of Vodafone, IKEA and Samsung, aims to optimise talent acquisition and recruitment through its online platform, utilising social media, marketing campaigns and selection algorithms.
Meritocracy has opened its new office in WeWork Moorgate, 1 Fore Street in London, as it looks to expand into the UK recruitment sector.
The firm uses what it has dubbed as ‘disruptive’ methods in an effort to reduce employee churn, including videos and interviews with members of staff to give prospective applicants an idea of company culture, along with targeted marketing campaigns on social media platforms and algorithms that attempt to target the most suitable candidates.
Riccardo Galli, Co Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Meritocracy, said, “We believe that providing a comprehensive insight into a company before interviewing, is the first step to nurturing a loyal millennial workforce.
“The recruitment process in 2016 is increasingly dependent on tapping into the vision held by both candidates and businesses and there is an urgent need to effectively communicate workplace values.
“In order for recruitment to be as effective as possible, businesses need to bridge the current information gap that exists between them and potential candidates so that time and money is not wasted on recruiting the wrong candidates to the wrong company, and likewise so that candidates stand a better chance of selecting the right environments for them.
“Meritocracy has the technology that enables us to introduce the best fit talent to companies, optimizing social media and strategic social marketing techniques.”
