North Shields industrial firm strikes new deal to enter the Canadian market
North Shields-based Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS) has signed a distribution deal in Canada, one of the world’s largest oil producing countries.
A manufacturer of fire protection and insulation products, AIS is entering the market via the Crosbie Group, a key supplier to the country’s oil and gas sector.
The group works to provide technical maintenance support such as specialised pipe cleaning and repair, as well as installing protective coatings and passive fire protection systems.
As well as fire protection products, Advanced Industrial Solutions offers a comprehensive range of technical insulation products to combat issues such as noise, corrosion, weather and temperature extremes in order to protect assets, create safer work spaces and reduce operational costs.
Managing Director of Advanced Industrial Solutions, Paul Stonebanks, said: “We are delighted to have signed this deal with Crosbie Group, which will help take our products into Canada for the very first time.
“The link is already resulting in several new orders coming through including one to supply insulation and metal products to an offshore oil platform in Newfoundland.
“We are also training the staff at Crosbie Group in survey and installation skills to ensure we can fully capitalise on the major interest being shown out there. However, our manufacturing will remain in the UK. To further develop our links in the territory, we will be attending several events in Canada including the annual NOIA Conference in June.”
Lesley Galgay, corporate development manager at Crosbie Group, added: “We are very proud to become an Advanced Industrial Solutions’ agent.
“The company’s high quality products, state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and use of innovative materials - all independently tested - to international standards means our customers can be assured that they are getting the very best passive fire protection and insulation solutions available on the market.”
