Children's Activity Franchise Market Continues To Perform

As every parent knows… if the kids are happy so are you! Mums and dads are always on the lookout for new, fun and affordable activities for their children to take part in. If you can provide a safe setting, along with fun-filled energetic activities… you are definitely onto a winner.

This is the view of franchising expert, Suzie McCafferty, CEO of Platinum Wave. She explains: “The children’s activity sector is booming in UK franchising right now, if you can provide a safe environment for kids, along with fun activities which combine taking exercise with learning new things, you have a sure fire recipe for success.

“Every parent wants their child to be happy, which means keeping them healthy and entertained. Many parents are realising they cannot rely solely on TV or computer games to occupy their children, it’s essential they get the proper stimulation combined with physical exercise that keeps them healthy and alert - and just as importantly helps them sleep at night!”

One franchise which offers all this is Razzamataz Theatre Schools. Razzamataz, which offers singing, dancing and drama lessons to children aged between 4 and 18, offers dynamic classes that are designed to develop youth confidence and improve health and fitness whilst learning fantastic performing skills in a safe and encouraging environment.

Razzamataz have a thriving franchise network across the UK. One area which is particularly buoyant just now is Bristol, which has two successful Razzamataz franchise territories; Bristol North & Bristol South. These two Razzamataz schools provide singing, dancing and drama lessons to over 150 children each week. According to the local government website, Bristol is currently home to 82,800 children who make up almost 19% of its total population, that means almost one in every five people living in Bristol is aged under 16. This is a huge expanding target market for Razzamataz, and as a result it is actively searching for new franchisees in the Bristol area.

A potential Razzamataz franchisee will have to be a great organiser, have a flair for promotion and also be able to build great relationships with the children and parents… and, of course, a love of the performing arts would be useful too!

Suzie McCafferty, who assists Razzamataz with its franchise development and recruitment, comments: “Razzamataz’s franchisees enjoy an enviable level of flexibility to their work/life balance - perfect if you have young children or simply a really busy lifestyle. Classes run on Saturdays during term time, so you choose your own working hours during the week.

“Remember, as the owner and Principal, your role will be to manage the school and build your business, not teach the classes. This is fantastic opportunity for the right person, and Razzamataz will not be giving this opportunity to just anyone. Bristol is a booming area for children’s activities and as a result there is a real opportunity to grow and expand the business

McCafferty adds: “Owning a Razzamataz franchise is also very rewarding, both financially and on a personal level, as you are providing a great service that keeps kids healthy and enjoying themselves.”
