EMPO Exposes Property Conundrum With Expert Property Panel
Following monumental changes in the residential property lettings industry in the recent budget, Nottingham will be playing host to one of the biggest ‘Ask the Experts’ events at the East Midlands Landlord & Letting Agent Expo on 5 May.
East Midlands Property Owners (EMPO) is hosting the FREE event at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel and the expert panel will be offering property investors the opportunity to seek advice on topics such as taxation and legal updates.
Around 1000 property professionals are expected to attend the EXPO with the expert panel including: Azam Mamujee, a partner at M Cubed Chartered Accountants, Nigel Parry, director of EMPO, James Beat, associate and solicitor at Nelsons Solicitors, Paula Haverkamp, litigation assistant at Nelsons Solicitors and Carl Finch, a valuer at Graham Penny Auctions.
Giles Inman, Development Manager at EMPO said: “Following the recent budget, there were a lot of changes that have huge implications for landlords and property investors. There is still much confusion following the rule changes, as property professionals are adapting, so we saw this as the perfect opportunity to host the ‘Ask the Expert’ panel to help property professionals understand and offer support for those that need it.
“The Expo is the biggest event of its kind in the Midlands and is targeted at everyone in the property industry, whether you are the owner of a large property portfolio including HMOs, a letting agency, a small buy to let or accidental landlord, or even if you’re just thinking of investing in the Private Rented Sector.”
The Expo, now in its fourth year, has become the biggest of its kind in the East Midlands with more than 800 visitors attending in 2015.
The event provides an excellent platform for property investors to seek the advice and guidance necessary to improve business compliance and management of their residential property businesses.
The ‘Ask the Experts’ panel will take place between 2-3pm and is the final seminar of the day.
The EXPO will play host to 70 exhibitors and also includes a ‘Are you practicing safe tax?’ talk from Osbornes, a live Graham Penny residential property auction and a talk from Paul Bohill from the hit Channel 5 show Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away.
Giles added: “It is amazing to see the EXPO in its fourth year and we believe that this year will be the biggest and best yet.”
