Jet2 reveals 'biggest and best programme yet at Newcastle Airport'
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have launched a new programme for summer 2017 from Newcastle Airport, the airline’s biggest flights package for the site to date.
A total of 192 weekly flights will operate over the summer season, with over 800,000 seats available, representing a 10% year on year growth.
The leisure airline and package holiday firm celebrated the launch in Newcastle, bringing a giant beach scene to the city centre and giving away thousands of pounds worth of free flights for next year to passers by.
More flights to popular destinations including Alicante, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria have been announced as well as programme extensions to Ibiza, Malta, Palma and Rhodes.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “This is going to be our biggest and best programme yet at Newcastle Airport, giving local customers even more choice and fantastic places to visit.
“With our continued expansion, we’re thrilled that even more people will be able to experience our great value holidays and award winning flights. Roll on next year!”
John Irving, Business Development Director at Newcastle International Airport, said: “We are delighted to see that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have expanded their programme for summer 2017 from Newcastle Airport, offering even more choice and availability across the season.
“This latest announcement is great news for the North East travelling public who will now have even more choice of departure days and times with Jet2.com on a number of their popular routes.”
