Sky Betting & Gaming reveal record recruitment and job creation in Leeds
Sky Betting & Gaming, the Leeds-based independent online gambling firm, has revealed that it is recruiting and creating jobs at its fastest ever rate, hiring just under 600 employees in the last 12 months.
During the Leeds Digital Festival, SB&G explained that 579 of those hires were made in this financial year, with 245 offers - or 40% - made in the four months since 1st January 2016 alone.
SB&G is one of the official sponsors of the Leeds Digital Festival and recently announced further expansion in the city following continued revenue and headcount growth, with the acquisition of two floors at 6 Wellington Place.
147 live vacancies are currently advertised at Sky Betting & Gaming, of which 75 are tech based roles that include highly skilled positions for developers, engineers and analysts.
Rob Painter, Sky Betting & Gaming’s brand and HR director, said: “We’ve adopted a number of fresh approaches to developing talent and events like Leeds Digital Festival allow us and the rest of the tech sector here to shout about the opportunities available in the city. It’s been a great week of events so far with more yet to come.”
Sky Betting & Gaming is one of the UK’s fastest growing digital businesses situated in the Northern Powerhouse tech cluster that, in 2016, experienced the highest advertised salary growth in the UK of 29%.
