Club La Santa gears up for MountainBike Week

British cycling lovers can escape the winter chill and enjoy a week riding in the sun as Club La Santa will welcome a Mountain Bike Week for guests.

The active sports and holiday resort situated on the North West coast of Lanzarote will host the week-long event from 16th – 22nd December.

Delivered by top professional mountain bike riders, the course will start outside the resort and follow a route taking in stunning views of the beautiful ocean and dramatic volcanic landscape with towering cliffs.

The week is aimed at those who are used to biking between 2-6 hours daily. The days will vary, with shorter and longer routes, where there will be a car following with sandwiches, fruit and refreshments.

Claire Dyson, Head of Club La Santa UK, commented: “We are looking forward to launching the Mountain Bike Week this December. Lanzarote is a fantastic location for riding your bike with smooth roads and dry weather. Over the years many famous cyclists have based themselves at Club La Santa for their winter warm weather training including Dame Sarah Storey and Joanna Rowsell-Shand who are ambassadors for Club La Santa.”

The Mountain Bike week will include an afternoon talk about mechanics, technique and other bike related subjects. The week ends with a dinner in one of Club La Santa’s restaurants.

Places are limited so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
