Crunch partners with FreeAgent to launch Sole Trader
Crunch, the country’s fastest growing accountancy firm, has launched Sole Trader, a new accountancy package. The new service, which has been developed specifically for sole traders, offers the full Crunch accountancy consultancy service alongside the software from FreeAgent.
Crunch Sole Traderprovides users with 24-hour access to their accounts and will include unlimited support and Self Assessment filing, with packages starting at £29.50 + VAT – cheaper than the average monthly phone bill.
Self-employment is currently at a 40-year high in the UK, with 4.5 million people running their own businesses accounting for 15% of the country’s workforce – and a huge proportion starting their business journey as a Sole Trader. The Crunch Sole Trader service is ideal for people working for themselves full or part-time, and it enables sole traders to take care of their Self Assessment at an affordable price.
Darren Fell, CEO and co-founder of Crunch, said: “We decided to partner with FreeAgent to develop Sole Trader because we are committed to connecting micro-businesses with the best service providers out there.
“For people entering the world of freelancing, professional accountancy can seem like a luxury service that’s well out of their price range. With our Sole Trader package costing less than the average monthly phone bill, sole traders can spend less time worrying about Self Assessment and more time doing the job they love. We’re aiming to develop a full suite of business services in the coming year involving many more such partnerships.”
Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, said: “Crunch is a very forward-thinking and innovative accountancy practice so we’re delighted to be partnering with them to develop their new Sole Trader offering for sole traders.
“2016 is already shaping up to be a great year for FreeAgent and we’re looking forward to working with Crunch and providing the best service for their sole trader clients.”
The new service launch follows a period of massive growth for Crunch, which was named the fastest growing accountancy firm in the UK in 2015, for the second time. The Brighton based business was also ranked 63rd in the Hiscox Tech Track 100 list of the country’s fastest growing tech brands.
