Skipton hotel wins National Coach Travel Tourism Award
Skipton’s Rendezvous Hotel is delighted to announce that it has won this prestigious award.
The Rendezvous Hotel has won the Accommodation Provider – Individual Hotels which is awarded to hotels who can demonstrate their commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers. This award is just the latest in a series of hospitality accolades won by the Skipton-based hotel and is testament to their reputation for providing exceptional Yorkshire hospitality.
The Rendezvous Hotel were winners at the National Coach Tourism Awards back in 2014 and the hotel has also received a runners-up award in the Best Accommodation for Groups category in the Group Leisure Awards 2012 and 2014.
Karen and Malcolm Weaving, owner of the Rendezvous Hotel, commented: “As owners of the Rendezvous Hotel we are extremely proud to have won another National Coach Travel Tourism Award and believe that this is testament to our team of dedicated staff who genuinely enjoy their work (we think). We put our success in the hospitality business to taking time to find the right member of staff for each department. Our code of practice is “professional informality”, all our staff endeavours to conform to it.”
The Rendezvous Hotel has offered a group travel service for many years now and groups who stay at the hotel can enjoy a range of benefits, including a group charter and tour charter, bespoke itineraries and entertainment. The team at the Rendezvous are hoping that their group travel service and Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales growing reputation as a unique travel destination, will continue to enhance the hotel’s reputation.
The Rendezvous Hotel was shortlisted against individual hotels throughout the UK, including hotels based in Derby, Hayling Island, Looe and Dunster.
The Awards were held last month at Resort World Birmingham NEC and the prestigious ceremony was attended by hotels Marketing Manager Agata Rusinek. “Winning such a sought-after award brings a number of benefits, not least in recognition of the continuous effort and hard work on the part of our staff, but also as a fantastic boost to staff morale and motivation. It’s safe to say that we’re all absolutely delighted!” added Malcolm Weaving.
