Dunkin’ Donuts prepares for North West expansion with new Liverpool restaurant
US doughnut firm Dunkin’ Donuts is set to make its first foray into the North West with a new restaurant in Liverpool.
The upcoming site, located in the food court at St John’s Shopping Centre, will operate seven days a week and serve the company’s full menu of doughnuts, coffees, lattes, baked goods and breakfast snacks.
The Liverpool Dunkin’ Donuts is due to open on May 17, with brand representatives and Liverpool FC VIPs set to mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a meet-and-greet with local customers.
Massachusetts-headquartered Dunkin’ Donuts operates a global network of more than 11,400 restaurants.
Founded over 60 years ago, today the company sells around 1.8bn beverages and 2.8bn doughnuts ever year.
Dunkin’ Donuts is one of several restaurant brands to expand in Liverpool in recent months.
Since the end of last year, a string of new openings at the neighbouring Liverpool ONE retail and leisure complex has expanded the city’s growing dining offer.
