Kelly climbs the career ladder with leading housebuilder
An ambitious young woman is celebrating after being promoted from trainee to sales advisor with a leading housebuilder.
Kelly Lister joined Persimmon Homes just one year ago and has quickly moved up the career ladder, working as a sales advisor at the Carlton Meadows development in Penrith.
The 23-year-old from Carlisle discovered her passion for property sales after buying her first new build home last year. Kelly said: “Since I purchased my first home last year, I knew I wanted to work in the housing industry. The whole experience of buying a property was just so enjoyable and I wanted to be able to share that experience and help those looking for a new home. “As a trainee sales advisor you receive extensive training, both practical and theory. I was based at a development site which meant I could learn on the job, and then once a month I would receive theory training at head office. “The training programme has been the perfect stepping stone for carving out my career, and I would definitely recommend applying to anyone considering a new career. “There are so many opportunities to progress within the company, and I am proud of what I have achieved so far. I’m looking forward to seeing where the next year takes me, and I hope to have a successful sales career.” Speaking of Kelly’s promotion, Diane Finch, sales director for Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “We are pleased to see Kelly’s career progress with Persimmon. She has a passion for the industry, and has great customer care skills, helping buyers find their dream home. “These attributes make her an ideal candidate for a sales advisor, and we wish her the best as she starts her sales career.” Persimmon Homes Lancashire operates new homes developments across Lancashire and Cumbria.
