A Hat-Trick of Investments for Europa Road
Innovative logistics operator, Europa Worldwide Group, has launched its third new direct service to Europe so far this year. The company’s ambitious Road division will now directly serve Slovenia, with onward connections through the Balkan States including Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia and Albania, with a twice weekly operation from its 1hub in Dartford. This follows the recent launch of a direct route to the Baltics and daily service to Salzburg earlier in the year.
A new partnership opportunity with InterEuropa Group – Slovenia’s leading supplier of complete logistic services in South-Eastern Europe, will further increase the reach of Europa’s European footprint and improve its growing partner network whilst ensuring the best possible connectivity for its customers.
Slovenia’s strategic location with access to Adriatic ports and adjacent to both Western and Central European markets, means this new route is well positioned for serving the EU and beyond, with access to over 500 million consumers. The region is transforming itself into an open marketplace with steady economic growth attracting a large number of foreign investors, further improving its desirable climate for logistics[1].
Europa’s European expansion is part of an ambitious plan for ten new road services launched throughout 2016. Currently, the company has 34 road routes across Europe, 18 of which already operate as daily services.
Operations Director of Europa Road, Dan Cook, said: “Our partnership with InterEuropa is set to be one of our most successful yet, with its strong Balkan network helping to provide our customers with the best possible service. The company’s ideal location of Ljubljana also provides the preferred and most logical injection point to serve the Balkan market place, an area with a less developed infrastructure and a greater need for expertise than some of our more developed markets, which gives us a massive opportunity to better serve this growing economy.
“This continued investment has put Europa in great stead to fulfil our target of ten new direct routes before the end of the year.”
A market leader in European express freight services between the UK and Europe for almost 50 years, Europa Worldwide Group employs 600 people across 12 sites in the UK and Hong Kong and is represented in 100 countries.
As well as its successful road freight operation, Europa also provides specialist air and sea, warehouse and showfreight services.
