Discover Energy at the Pig and Poultry Fair
One of the UK’s leading solar PV panel installers will be on hand at the British Pig and Poultry Fair to help farmers reduce their long term energy costs and boost their environmental credentials with solar PV panels and battery storage.
The solar panel experts from Discover Energy will answer questions about the impact solar PV panels and battery storage can have and why solar power is still a viable opportunity for agricultural businesses.
In addition, the firm will also be explaining to those pig and poultry farmers who already have solar panels installed why they should be keeping a keen eye on battery storage to enable them to store the generated electricity and reduce their energy costs further.
Martin Bleasby of the Beverley-based firm said: “The Pig and Poultry Fair is an excellent opportunity for us to show farmers the impact we can have on their operating costs by reducing their energy bill.”
Discover Energy has built-up a strong reputation for quality in Yorkshire among its farming clients and the firm believes its expertise can help boost agricultural businesses in other parts of the country.
Mr Bleasby added: “By installing solar PV panels and batteries, we can discuss with pig and poultry farmers about the possibility of their farming production operations going off-grid completely which is an attractive proposition, for instance, for those who want to build large units which are not near to power lines.
“Going off-grid as a business means not having to rely on a National Grid connection for the pig or poultry unit and there are impressive cost savings to be made.”
Despite the Government’s reduction in its Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) which made solar power less attractive, Discover Energy says there is still huge potential for businesses to enjoy a good rate of return on their solar panel installations.
