Glasgow Marriott scoops prestigious award for guest satisfaction

The four-star Glasgow Marriott Hotel has received a prestigious award of excellence for guest satisfaction and exceeding customer expectations.

The hotel was given the esteemed ‘Award of Excellence’ by prominent coach tour operator, CIE Tours International, which recognises the quality of the UK hotels and visitor attractions, by awarding those who have received a greater than 90 per cent customer satisfaction rating.

Judged by 12,000 of CIE Tours International visitors from North America, Glasgow Marriott Hotel was recognised for its commitment to delivering one of the best possible stays in the UK.

Ulrich Franzmann, general manager at Glasgow Marriott Hotel, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised by CIE Tours as one of the best hotels in the country for customer satisfaction.

“We pride ourselves on delivering high quality accommodation alongside impeccable service and the fact that we’ve received this award is testament to how hard the team works on a regular basis to achieve this.”

Glasgow Marriott Hotel was one of just 59 UK hotels to be presented with the award at a ceremony held at Edinburgh Castle.

The increase in the number of awards reflects how providers have embraced our quality focus and that overall quality levels are increasing, which is great for our customers and the overall industry.

CIE launched its UK awards four years ago, replicating its long running awards in Ireland.
