TaxCalc launches new cloud accountancy solution CloudConnect

Accountancy practices can take their software into the Cloud age with TaxCalc CloudConnect, a unique and revolutionary service that enables existing TaxCalc software to work with client data held remotely in the Cloud.

It’s the ideal solution for firms that wish to consolidate multiple sites into one database, enable staff to work from home, are looking to take on subcontractors or use other remote workers such as outsourcers. Staff can continue using the software that they love but work from wherever there is an Internet connection, be it in the office, at home or even with a 3G mobile connection.

By using the same desktop application that customers currently use, it is only data that is transmitted over the Internet and not entire web pages as in the case with the current crop of web applications. With the data crunching taking place on the computer itself, TaxCalc CloudConnect delivers performance comparable to that of desktop software today but with the convenience of Cloud working.

TaxCalc’s has a growing customer base of over 6,000 firms of accountants in the UK and today, its desktop software range covers practice management, accounts production, tax return production, VAT return filing and anti-money laundering identity checking services.

More products are to be launched over the next two years. Both fixed site and CloudConnect customers will get to benefit from these new developments at the same time.

Tracy Ebdon-Poole, CEO and founder at TaxCalc comments: “We’ve created something unique in the marketplace that allows our customers to work wherever they choose but continue to use the same, great TaxCalc software.

“CloudConnect delivers all the usual benefits of Cloud working but in a fast, safe package. We pride ourselves on finding innovative solutions to often complicated demands and it’s for these reasons why we have grown so quickly over the years.”

CloudConnect can be used on Windows, Mac and Linux desktop device.

Tracy Ebdon-Poole adds: “We’ve listened to what our customers want. It’s all about speed, security and a rich customer experience. TaxCalc CloudConnect delivers on this without compromise – it just works.”
