Architectural technicians join PH Homes as growth continues

TWO talented architectural technicians have joined the ranks at luxury housebuilder PH Homes as the company continues with its growth plans.

Chris Pells and Bradley Clarke have been appointed to the team at its Cheadle office base on Oakfield Road.

It comes after PH Homes Managing Director Phil Hughes recently set out his vision for the expansion of the business.

Chris, who is working towards becoming a Chartered Architectural Technologist, graduated with a degree in Architectural Design and Technology at the University of Salford in 2012.

From there he spent three years in a building surveying environment as a project and CAD technician before venturing back into the architectural field to work on several large scale schools and emergency services depots.

He said: “It’s a really exciting opportunity and I’m delighted to have joined the team. I really wanted to get into bespoke residential designs rather than modular designs which I was involved in previously.

“The great thing about PH Homes is that each house is different and individual, which means that as an architect you are never doing the same thing twice.”

Bradley became a Chartered Architectural Technologist (CIAT) in May last year after passing his (POP) Record Assessment and sitting the professional interview. He graduated from the University of Salford in 2015 and has recently been working on a number of residential and commercial projects.

He said: “I’m very happy to be appointed to the team and excited to be working on high end residential projects.

“The attention to detail at PH Homes is fantastic. I’m delighted to be integrating Building Information Modelling (BIM) to improve designs and increase the speed of the build, it makes the process a lot more efficient.”

Over the past 12 months, PH Homes has taken on seven new members of staff including a Senior Health and Safety Manager as well as Chris and Bradley. They are also looking to potentially take on more staff over the next six months.

Philip Hughes, Managing Director of PH Homes, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Chris and Bradley to the team both of whom will be supporting the architectural department here at PH Homes.

“Our expansion is in line with our aims and 2016 already looks to be an exciting year in terms of fulfilling our ambitions.”
