Stokesley School is open for business

Stokesley School has unveiled its new-look ‘School House’ following thousands of pounds’ worth of investment.

The School House building stands separate to the main school on the site on Station Road in Stokesley and offers a range of facilities for local small businesses, charities and voluntary organisations.

The building has five spacious rooms, including a fully-equipped kitchen, and is available for workshops, meetings, team building activities or those seeking rooms to carry our private consultations. Full technical support is also available from the school’s expert team.

Stokesley School is now planning to work more closely with the local business community to exchange skills, advice and services as well as host networking events and develop partnerships.

Earlier this year, the school held a dedicated ‘Apprenticeship Information Evening’ showcasing the variety of opportunities available for students in years 11 to 13 with over 50 local employers taking part.

Business development manager at Stokesley School, Jayne Neal, explained: “Stokesley School is at the heart of our vibrant town and central to our core values is serving and supporting our local community. We are working on exciting plans to engage more directly with our local residents and businesses, and to meet their needs by offering facilities, services, events and expertise.

“Stokesley has a thriving business community featuring a surprisingly diverse mix including retail, leisure, financial services, engineering and technology. The town also benefits from numerous voluntary organisations who do great work to make Stokesley such a wonderful place to live, work and do business.

“With the opening of our newly refurbished School House, we can now offer high quality accommodation, by the hour or by the day, and a range of support services to create the perfect solution for everything from meetings and interviews to therapy sessions and wellbeing clinics.”
