Haden Freeman MD returns to Teesside in partnership push
Engineering firm Haden Freeman is stepping up its operations in the North East in a bid to develop partnerships across the region.
Established at the Wilton Centre 18 months ago, the design and project management specialists have since expanded to larger premises
The North East team is looking to grow further with the expansion of its design office, coupled with MD Wayne Baxter relocating to the region from Haden Freeman’s head office in Manchester.
Wayne, who spearheaded the development of the company’s Wilton Centre branch back in December 2014, is hoping his move to Teesside will spearhead business development in the region.
In addition, Wayne’s introduction is bolstered by four new employees, recruited to strengthen the team in a variety of disciplines from CAD, electrical and instruments to process engineering and design.
Wayne explained: “I’m incredibly pleased to be moving to the North East with a view to further developing our business in the region.
“We have gone from strength-to-strength since we established ourselves at the Wilton Centre in 2014 and there are some extremely exciting developments taking place right here on our doorstep. There is much work to be done for the region and we’re passionate about being at the forefront of this.
“Along with Business Development Manager, Gary Fish, my main focus will be facilitating innovation in the region by developing our already strong partnerships and alliances with key operators and supply chain.”
Reflecting on the region as a whole and looking to the future, Wayne added: “The region has suffered recently, with a number of high profile closures, but we’re dedicated to be supporting ground-breaking projects and attracting and retaining talent in the region through apprenticeships and our relationships with Teesside University.
“Our ultimate aim is to expand our Teesside team to 20 members of staff within the next 24 months.”
