The £50m-turnover firm’s latest expansion follows a push into Yorkshire in 2010

Bardsley Construction targets Midlands growth with new Staffordshire office

Greater Manchester building firm Bardsley Construction has established a Midlands base after securing new contracts in the region.

The Dukinfield-headquartered company’s new office at The Keele Centre in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire, will be headed up by its regional manager for the Midlands, Adrian Moss.

Bardsley was recently chosen by property company Ladson Developments to create 160 student apartments in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The £3.86m Keele House scheme will see Bardsley transform Blackburn House, an office site built in the 1970s, into a new apartment block with offices and a private gym.

Regional manager Adrian, who joined the firm from BAM Construction, commented: “As a business Bardsley is benefiting from ongoing recovery in the construction market by winning work with new and existing clients after several very tough years in what was the longest and deepest downturn since the 1930s.

“This is our second regional office and having a Midlands’ presence provides a fantastic opportunity to work with new clients to enhance the Bardsley name and reputation outside of its traditional North West heartland.”

The £50m-turnover firm’s latest expansion follows a push into Yorkshire in 2010 that saw it establish an office in Leeds.

Bardsley Construction’s chairman, Roly Bardsley, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our office in and for the Midlands and look forward to competing for and securing contracts with clients in the private and public sectors throughout the region.

“We place great emphasis on partnerships with local authorities, education bodies, housing associations and health authorities.”
