Silverbean backs 12 month growth with drive to tackle ‘pointless marketing’
Following a soaring 12 month spell Bdaily catches up with Silverbean, one of the region’s largest digital marketing agencies, to talk about its recent growth, evolving offering and its future plans to ensure responsible and relevant practice in the industry
Now employing 43 people, the Newcastle-based business has made 13 hires in the last year and currently has 5 vacancies to fill. With its human expansion coupled by an 1,179 sq.ft uptake in office space, the company is riding a wave of success much attributed to an ever-evolving service offering.
The firm’s approach to the industry is built on its application of multi-channel marketing strategies. Presenting a unified offering, the agency utilises Organic Search (SEO), Paid Marketing (PPC), Affiliate Marketing, Content Marketing and Social Media, tied together with Optimisation at the core.
Charlotte McMurray, Digital Performance Director, explained: “Silverbean’s service offering has never been stronger, and this is driven by the strong stance we take on our role and responsibilities as marketers.”
Employing a company-wide attitude of ‘No to pointless marketing’, the firm hopes to dissociate itself from techniques which can often tar the industry and its operators.
“Customers are increasingly overwhelmed by pointless interruptive marketing that gives nothing back, and we believe in offering an alternative that delivers return on customers’ time and attention as well as on our clients’ investment”, continued Charlotte.
“This philosophy gives us an edge in all our services, and it’s particularly visible in our SEO offering. SEO is a multi-faceted discipline and it’s easy to get bogged down in the details trying to “beat the algorithm”.
Charlotte added: “What sets Silverbean apart from the crowd in this regard is our focus on the “why” behind Google’s decisions (answering users’ queries) rather than the ‘how’, which leads to highly successful strategies that are sustainable over the long term, rather than relying on loopholes or short term quick wins.”
With the business now commanding an upgraded Hoults Yard office space stretching 5,665 sq.ft in total, Silverbean will soon have capacity to accommodate 65 members of staff in total, once building work is complete.
Potential new hires will gain the opportunity to be a part of SIlverbean’s talent scheme, which incorporates a programme of development and training.
Neil Robbins, Founder and Managing Director, commented: “I’m delighted with our performance in the recent financial year underpinned by a management restructure, a radical change in our new business strategy which since the summer saw us successfully land a number of major new clients and the development of our talent which proved very successful in contributing to record breaking revenue and profitability.”
Neil is determined to invest further in technology and talent to continue building and recreating the firm’s offering, as the digital landscape continues to evolve and redefine itself.
He continued: “For the forthcoming year we are focused creating great momentum with further investment in technology, our talent and very importantly we will continue to laser focus on giving our clients exactly what they need from us which is delivering high performance digital marketing strategies.
“I have recently set a new vision for Silverbean which will see us become the global leader in results focussed marketing of products and services with considered and complex customer buying journeys.
“This I believe will see us become the clear digital marketing partner of choice for relevant, major brands, not to mention opening up future international expansion opportunities.”
