Rotherham United signs new sponsorship deal with Parkgate Shopping
Rotherham United has signed to renew its partnership with Parkgate Shopping, which will become the sponsor on the back of the club’s new home shirt.
The logo of the recently revamped Rotherham retail park will now appear on the reverse of the new home shirt.
Parkgate, which has recently been purchased by BMO Real Estate Partners, signed a deal with the Millers to ensure its logo remains emblazoned on the home strip in the 2016/17 season.
Commercial Director Steve Coakley said: “We’re thrilled that the new owners of Parkgate Shopping, BMO Real Estate Partners, have bought straight into the community essence of both the long-standing partnership with the Football Club but the Town as a whole.
“It was way back in 1987 that Parkgate first appeared on the front of our first team kits so during the 2016/2017 Sky Bet Championship campaign we can celebrate 30 years of working together.
“Make no mistake, this kind of relationship is such a rarity in today’s society, 20 out of the last 29 years we’ve proudly displayed the Parkgate branding on the front of our shirts and we’re delighted that we have the opportunity to continue this, albeit on the reverse of our home shirts, for at least a further season. It is fantastic news for everyone.”
Carolyn Sparshott of BMO Real Estate Partners added: “As the new owners, we are thrilled to be continuing the long established partnership between Parkgate Shopping and Rotherham United Football Club into next season”
BMO Real Estate Partners are an entrepreneurial, institutionally-partnered force in commercial property and manages a global portfolio worth £6.6bn on behalf of a wide range of individuals, professional investors, property trusts and institutional clients.
